Location, location, location. This tired mid-century home was ready for complete overhaul. The existing main level was torn down to the subfloor and two new floors were added to the sturdy foundation.
Taking advantage of the sweeping views of Lake Washington and the Cascade mountains from every space possible was a high priority. Tall ceilings and wide windows abound for this purpose. The entire upper floor is a master suite with a private deck that could make the local bald eagle jealous. Every level is used when the Blue Angels fly overhead at the annual Seafair Air Show.
While the overall look is intentionally more modern and clean, the architecture nods to the mid-century soul and is composed to fit comfortably into the residential neighborhood.
